Maryland's recognized companies achieved a median growth rate of 148 percent from 2021 to 2024, with an overall average growth approaching 400 percent. Montgomery County leads the state with the highest number of businesses on the list, followed by Prince George's and Howard counties, indicating concentrated economic activity in these regions.
Chaberton Energy, a Rockville-based company focused on sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy projects, ranked highest among Maryland businesses at number 53 with an impressive 5,124 percent growth. Other top performers include Connsci from Gaithersburg in government services with 3,820 percent growth, Just Ice Tea from Bethesda in food and beverage with 3,750 percent growth, and DCM Insights from Silver Spring in business products and services with 3,137 percent growth.
