Mathnasium Marks 100th International Center Opening in UK, Highlighting Global Demand for Math Education

Mathnasium Learning Centers has achieved a significant milestone with the opening of its 100th international center in Hammersmith, United Kingdom, making the UK its largest market outside of the U.S. with 37 centers. This expansion reflects the surging global demand for supplemental math education, attributed to pandemic-related learning gaps, the rise in STEM careers, and heightened parental awareness of math's role in future success.

CEO Tyler Sgro emphasized the importance of this milestone, stating it's not just about growth but addressing a critical need for effective math education. The Hammersmith center, owned by franchisee Dan Tregoning, aims to serve approximately 20,000 students across 30 schools, offering them a foundation in math and fostering a love for learning.

The UK's status as Mathnasium's largest international market outside North America is a testament to the brand's success and the British Franchise Association's recognition of Mathnasium as the 2024 Franchise of the Year. With plans for further expansion in countries like Romania, Saudi Arabia, and Australia, Mathnasium is set to meet the increasing global demand for quality math education.

Benjamin Simon, Regional Vice President of International at Mathnasium, highlighted the brand's commitment to empowering children worldwide with the confidence and skills needed for success. The new Hammersmith center, which opened in May 2025, is part of this global mission, with a grand opening event planned for the fall to showcase Mathnasium's approach to building mathematical skills and confidence in students.
