MAX Power Mining Signs MOU with Moose Jaw to Advance Natural Hydrogen Commercialization
MAX Power Mining Corp. has signed an MOU with the City of Moose Jaw to explore natural hydrogen opportunities in Saskatchewan, positioning the region as a clean energy hub.

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the City of Moose Jaw to jointly explore strategic opportunities related to natural hydrogen commercialization within the Regina-Moose Jaw Industrial Corridor. The agreement supports advancement of the company’s Lawson Natural Hydrogen project toward commercial validation.
The partnership is intended to align regional infrastructure, industrial development, policy and economic initiatives as MAX Power works to position Saskatchewan as a potential hub for domestically sourced clean energy innovation and long-term economic growth. The MOU marks a significant step in developing a natural hydrogen industry in Canada, which could have far-reaching implications for the country’s energy transition.
Natural hydrogen, also known as white hydrogen, is a naturally occurring gas that can be extracted from subsurface deposits without the energy-intensive processes required for green or blue hydrogen. MAX Power’s Lawson Discovery near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, represents Canada’s first-ever subsurface natural hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling, with data validated by three independent labs.
The company has built dominant district-scale land positions across Saskatchewan with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of natural hydrogen. This extensive land position positions MAX Power as a key player in the emerging natural hydrogen sector.

The implications of this announcement are significant for the clean energy industry. If natural hydrogen can be commercially validated and produced at scale, it could provide a low-cost, low-carbon energy source that competes with fossil fuels. Saskatchewan’s existing infrastructure and industrial base in the Regina-Moose Jaw corridor offer a natural advantage for developing a hydrogen hub.
MAX Power is an innovative mineral and energy exploration company focused on the shift to decarbonization. In addition to its natural hydrogen projects, the company holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals, including a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, 100%-owned by MAX Power’s U.S. subsidiary.
The company is committed to responsible exploration and development practices that prioritize environmental stewardship, meaningful community engagement, and strong corporate governance. As MAX Power continues to advance its natural hydrogen projects, the partnership with Moose Jaw could serve as a model for public-private collaboration in the clean energy space.
