MOSTe Luncheon to Spotlight Empowerment and Educational Success for Los Angeles Girls

MOSTe, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering girls from under-resourced communities, will host its first luncheon fundraiser on June 7, 2025, marking a pivotal moment in the organization's nearly four-decade commitment to educational advancement.

The event, titled 'Empowering Girls and Elevating Futures,' replaces the organization's traditional Lanterns gala and will feature student and alumnae speakers highlighting MOSTe's transformative work. With a recent 38% increase in scholar enrollment, the organization now serves students across 19 Los Angeles County communities, with 62.2% of participants living below the poverty line.

MOSTe's recently introduced academic and leadership programs include the MOSTe Leadership Academy, College Readiness initiative, and Mentorship & Career Pathways. These programs provide scholars with critical support, including volunteer opportunities, career readiness workshops, and financial literacy training.

Executive Director Nicole Fisher emphasized the organization's mission, stating that their scholars have become professionals across diverse fields, including law, medicine, engineering, and entrepreneurship. The luncheon represents an opportunity for supporters to invest directly in young women's potential and future success.

By providing comprehensive mentorship and educational support, MOSTe continues to break cycles of economic limitation, enabling girls from low-income backgrounds to pursue higher education and professional careers. The organization's sustained commitment demonstrates the transformative power of targeted educational intervention and community investment.
