Moxie Award Honors 17 DC Area Businesses for Boldness and Innovation
Seventeen Washington DC area companies and organizations were recognized at the 2025 Moxie Awards for demonstrating exceptional resilience, innovation, and community impact across diverse industries.

The Moxie Award announced 17 DC area businesses and organizations as 2025 winners at the ninth annual ceremony celebrating boldness in business. These winners were selected from nearly 130 finalists for making significant marketplace impacts through bold initiatives, strategic market moves, and exceptional moxie. More than 400 business leaders attended the event held at The Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner.
Since the Moxie Award began nine years ago, the program has reviewed nearly 1,500 award entries and identified many of the DC area's most impressive companies. This year's winners represent some of the strongest moxie demonstrated in the program's history, according to Moxie Award Co-Chair Sarah Cody. After careful review and evaluation by a panel of third-party judges, the 17 winners stood out for demonstrating exemplary resilience, innovation and growth, industry leadership, community service, and local achievements.
The 2025 winners span multiple industries and sectors. In Business & Professional Services, FlexProfessionals, LLC earned recognition, while Preferred Capitol Cleaning, LLC won in Construction & Real Estate. Consumer Services winner Revolution Cooking, LLC and Cybersecurity awardee Avint, LLC demonstrated innovation in their respective fields.
The education sector saw University Startups recognized, while Ecphora Capital won in Financial Services. Government contracting winners included companies of various sizes, from smaller firms like Krilla Kaleiwahea (K2) and ViaTrie, LLC to larger organizations including OneZero Solutions, Davis Defense Group, and The MIL Corporation.
Healthcare recognition went to Trusted Doctors, LLC, while nonprofit winners included Open Goal Project and Veterans on the Rise. Technology sector winners featured Waymap in Software, along with Keep Company and Coforma, LLC in Technology categories.
Event attendees had opportunities to network with hundreds of executive leaders and discuss what moxie means in contemporary business environments. The awards ceremony represents significant recognition for DC area businesses demonstrating exceptional performance and innovation across diverse sectors. The Moxie Award program continues to highlight companies that combine business success with community impact and industry leadership.
