Mycroft Secures $3.5M Seed Funding to Expand AI-Powered Security and Compliance Platform
Mycroft's $3.5 million seed funding round enables the expansion of its AI-driven security and compliance platform, addressing critical gaps for startups and scaling companies facing enterprise-grade requirements without dedicated resources.

Mycroft has announced a $3.5 million seed funding round to expand its AI-driven Security and Compliance Officer platform, targeting the growing challenge faced by startups and scaling organizations that must meet enterprise-grade security standards before having resources for dedicated teams. The funding, led by Luge Capital with participation from Brightspark Ventures and Graphite Ventures, will accelerate the development of Mycroft's agentic AI capabilities.
The platform addresses what CEO Mike Kim describes as the "bloated, expensive, and disconnected" nature of traditional security and compliance systems. Mycroft replaces scattered tools and manual processes with an AI system that continuously monitors infrastructure, secures devices, enforces policies, manages incidents, and prepares companies for audits. The technology functions as a virtual CISO, GRC expert, and IT operations team combined, adapting to each company's environment through no-code AI agents.
Kim emphasized the critical need for such solutions, noting that "surface attack areas are getting bigger and bigger at a much faster rate" for companies building on emerging technologies or operating in secure sectors. The platform already supports more than 50 customers including fast-growing companies like Superwhisper, Evolo, CoVet, Unified, Willful, Wisedocs, and Weave (YC25). These organizations benefit from round-the-clock monitoring that provides confidence their security posture remains current without requiring extensive internal resources.
The investment consortium includes Ripple Ventures, Developer Capital, Antler, BoxOne Ventures, and strategic angels alongside the lead investors. Mycroft's approach represents a shift toward AI-driven solutions that feel "less like software and more like a teammate" according to company descriptions. The funding will specifically expand the AI's agentic capabilities and equip security and compliance agents with additional tools to handle complex tasks automatically.
For growing companies facing increasing regulatory pressures and security threats, Mycroft's platform offers a pathway to enterprise-level security from day one without the traditional overhead costs. The solution's adaptive nature allows it to scale with organizations as they grow, providing continuous protection and compliance readiness that manual processes and disconnected tools cannot match. This funding round signals growing investor confidence in AI-driven approaches to solving fundamental business security challenges.
