Nevada Organic Phosphate Expands Murdock Mountain Property with New Prospecting Applications

Nevada Organic Phosphate Inc. has significantly expanded its footprint at the Murdock Mountain property after the Bureau of Land Management accepted three additional Applications to Prospect. The new applications add 6,011 acres to the company's existing 1,813-acre Nevagro permit, substantially increasing the scale of its phosphate exploration efforts in northeast Nevada.

The expansion comes as the company continues exploration work, including drilling that has returned average grades of 10.95% P2O5. These results are part of the company's progress toward building a potential NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate, a standardized technical report used in Canadian mining disclosure. The company is simultaneously advancing environmental review under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), a critical step in the permitting process for mining operations on federal lands.

The strategic importance of this expansion lies in the project's unique characteristics. According to company information, this is believed to be the only known large-scale organic sedimentary phosphate project in North America. The additional applications extend the potential strike of rock phosphate to over 30 kilometers from the original 6.6-kilometer-long phosphate bed. This scale and geological uniqueness could position Nevada Organic Phosphate to potentially address phosphate supply needs in North America, where most phosphate rock is currently imported.

The project's location offers logistical advantages, situated close to the main highway to Montello/Elko, Nevada, and near the rail head to California. This infrastructure access could potentially reduce transportation costs if the project advances to production. Phosphate is a critical mineral for global agriculture, serving as a primary component in fertilizers that support food production worldwide. The expansion of domestic phosphate resources could have implications for agricultural supply chains and food security in North America. As a junior exploration company, Nevada Organic Phosphate's progress at Murdock Mountain represents early-stage development of what could become a significant domestic phosphate resource, though substantial additional work, including feasibility studies and permitting, would be required before any potential production.
