North Austin Organizations Partner to Provide Mobility Equipment for Veterans and Community Members
A Place At Home North Austin and ShareTheWill Foundation have donated power chairs and medical equipment to improve mobility and independence for veterans and community members in Central Texas.

A Place At Home – North Austin has partnered with the ShareTheWill Foundation to donate mobility equipment to veterans and community members in need, continuing their commitment to improving independence for Central Texans. The organizations recently provided a power scooter to a local veteran and a power wheelchair to a community member during a celebration event that highlighted their shared mission of compassion and community service.
For Stacey Eisenberg, owner of A Place At Home – North Austin, this collaboration addresses a critical community need. When one of her favorite medical lending libraries in the Austin and Round Rock area closed last year, she felt compelled to help fill that gap. Since then, she and her team have joined forces with ShareTheWill Foundation to collect and donate more than 34 power wheelchairs, scooters, hospital beds, and other essential medical equipment to veterans and individuals across the community.
"Compassion and service are at the heart of everything we do," said Eisenberg. "When we see a need, we act. It is a whole family priority for us. Our kids are instrumental in the process. Working with Will and ShareTheWill has allowed us to reach even more people who deserve comfort, dignity, and mobility."
Will Williams, a 26-year Army Ranger veteran and founder of the ShareTheWill Foundation, emphasized their inclusive approach to community support. "Obviously we share a lot with veterans and the veteran community that means so much to us, but we'll help anyone in the community who we can and is in need," he said. The foundation maintains an active presence through programs such as Honor Flight Austin and other community initiatives.
The partnership represents a significant response to mobility challenges facing both veterans and the broader community. Medical equipment donations provide essential support for individuals who might otherwise struggle with daily activities and independence. The collaboration demonstrates how local organizations can effectively address community needs through coordinated efforts.
A Place At Home – North Austin provides compassionate in-home care services throughout Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Hutto, Pflugerville, and surrounding communities. The organization is credentialed through the VA to provide quality care services for veterans, making their partnership with ShareTheWill Foundation particularly impactful for the veteran community.
The event served as a celebration of generosity and the power of community partnerships to create tangible improvements in people's lives. Both organizations continue to transform compassion into practical support, addressing mobility barriers that affect quality of life for many Central Texas residents. Their ongoing efforts highlight the importance of accessible medical equipment and community-based solutions for supporting vulnerable populations.
