Nova Minerals Advances Alaska Gold and Antimony Projects Amid Pentagon Interest

Nova Minerals Ltd. (NASDAQ: NVA) is advancing toward potential gold production from its Alaskan Estelle Project next year while positioning its antimony deposits as a strategic domestic source for defense and technology applications. CEO Christopher Gerteisen revealed in a Benzinga interview that the company aims to bring gold to market in 2026, with the Estelle Project containing defined multi-million ounce resources across a 35-kilometer mineralized corridor.

The company has identified nearly 10 million ounces of gold and is currently working on a feasibility study for the project, which spans 514 square kilometers of Alaska mining claims. Beyond the two primary gold projects, Gerteisen noted twenty additional prospects showing mineralization of gold, copper, silver, and antimony. The antimony component has drawn particular attention from the U.S. Department of Defense due to its strategic importance.

Antimony serves critical roles in cleantech, greentech, hightech applications and munitions production, yet no domestic production currently exists in the United States. Russia and China dominate global antimony production and have been restricting U.S. access, creating national security concerns. This supply chain vulnerability has prompted the Pentagon to show strong interest in developing domestic antimony sources.

Nova Minerals is positioning itself as a first mover in returning antimony production to American soil. The company is in advanced stages of securing a non-dilutive grant from the Department of Defense to accelerate antimony production. Gerteisen emphasized the strategic importance of establishing domestic supply chains for critical minerals currently controlled by geopolitical rivals. The Estelle Project represents one of the most significant undeveloped gold and antimony resources in North America, with multiple mining complexes and over twenty advanced prospects. The company's progress comes as the U.S. government intensifies efforts to secure domestic supplies of minerals essential for both defense systems and clean energy technologies. This dual focus on precious metals and critical minerals positions Nova Minerals at the intersection of traditional mining and strategic national priorities.
