Nine-year-old Aleksey Godovykh from Orlando has been recognized nationally for his innovative game design focusing on sustainable tourism education, demonstrating young students' potential to address complex global challenges.

A third-grade student from Orlando has secured a prestigious national award for his innovative approach to sustainable tourism education. Aleksey Godovykh, a student at Pinecrest Preparatory Academy, won the "Student Ideas for a Better America" competition with a game designed to teach children about responsible travel practices.
Godovykh's game seeks to address tourism's environmental impact by targeting young learners as potential change agents. By creating an engaging educational tool, he aims to inspire children to influence their families' travel behaviors, promoting sustainability through interactive gameplay.
The competition, which attracts student inventors nationwide, recognized Godovykh's project for its creativity and potential social impact. As a winner, he will receive a certificate of recognition and monetary award, and remains eligible for induction into the National Gallery for America's Young Inventors.
