At the Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai world exhibition, Peru is captivating international audiences with a remarkable exhibition titled "The Mochicas, Sovereigns of the Desert," which offers a profound glimpse into the country's extraordinary archaeological heritage.
The exhibition, a collaborative effort between PROMPERÚ and the Sipán Board of Trustees, features meticulously crafted replicas of the Lord of Sipán's jewelry and a life-sized representation of a Mochica ruler. Local artisans from the Lambayeque region have recreated intricate royal ornaments and ceremonial objects, demonstrating the remarkable craftsmanship of both ancient and contemporary Peruvian cultures.
