Rep. Jamie Raskin Leads Maryland Delegation in Fundraising by Wide Margin
Rep. Jamie Raskin's significant fundraising efforts highlight his strong support base and potential influence in upcoming elections, overshadowing other Maryland delegation members.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-8th) has emerged as the most prolific fundraiser among Maryland's congressional delegation, raising over $2.5 million in the first six months of the year, according to the latest Federal Election Commission reports. This amount is four times that of the second-highest fundraiser, Rep. Andy Harris (R-1st), who raised $609,303. Raskin's campaign also reported nearly $5.9 million in cash on hand as of June 30, significantly more than Sen. Chris Van Hollen's (D-Md.) $2.2 million.
Raskin's fundraising prowess places him as the 20th-biggest fundraiser among 919 House incumbents and challengers who reported raising money this year. His widespread appeal is evident from donations received from 44 states, with the largest share coming from Maryland. As a high-profile critic of former President Donald Trump, Raskin's fundraising success underscores his strong support base and potential influence in the political landscape leading up to the next elections.
