Rural King Enters Maryland Market with Cumberland Store Opening

Rural King, a family-owned retailer specializing in rural lifestyle products, has expanded its footprint into Maryland with the opening of its first store in Cumberland. The new location at 1262 Vocke Road marks the company's entry into its seventeenth state, bringing the retailer's distinctive blend of competitive pricing and community-focused service to Western Maryland residents.
The Cumberland store opening represents significant strategic expansion for the retailer that began as America's Farm and Home Store in Mattoon, Illinois in 1960. The store will carry Rural King's comprehensive product assortment, including brands such as Carhartt, Blackstone, Ariat, Wrangler, Black Rifle Coffee Company, Walnut Creek Foods and Henry Rifles.
Customers can access products across multiple categories including livestock supplies, pet care items, automotive needs, power equipment, tools, grilling accessories, food and snacks, and cleaning products. Seasonal offerings will include heating and cooling items, outdoor patio décor, pools, toys, home décor, and sporting goods. Grand opening festivities scheduled for November 7-9 will feature special promotions and competitive pricing throughout the store. RK Rewards loyalty program members will earn double points on qualifying purchases and have the opportunity to enter drawings for one of 100 $25 gift cards. All customers visiting during the grand opening weekend will receive complimentary bottles of Rural King water.
