Sabbeth Law Offers Free Rides Home on Independence Day to Prevent Drunk Driving
Sabbeth Law is providing up to $50 reimbursements for rideshares or taxis on July 4, 2026, in Vermont and New Hampshire to reduce impaired driving incidents during a historically dangerous holiday.

As Independence Day approaches, a Vermont-based personal injury law firm is stepping up to address one of the holiday's most persistent dangers: impaired driving. Sabbeth Law announced today the launch of its Sober Holiday Rides program for July 4, 2026, offering reimbursement of up to $50 for a one-way taxi or rideshare trip home for individuals celebrating in Vermont or New Hampshire.
The initiative, which runs from July 5 through July 12 for rides taken on Independence Day, is designed to remove financial barriers to making a safe choice. Participants must be 21 or older, submit a receipt and valid identification within seven days, and take a ride that originates and ends within the two states. The reimbursement includes a 10% tip.
“We want people to celebrate responsibly and get home safely,” said Michael J. Sabbeth, Esquire, founder of Sabbeth Law. “If covering the cost of a ride removes one barrier to making a safe decision, it's worth it.”
Independence Day is historically one of the most dangerous holidays for drunk driving nationwide. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the July 4th period consistently sees a spike in alcohol-related traffic fatalities. For a law firm that handles serious injury cases from car and trucking accidents, the consequences are all too familiar. Sabbeth Law has seen firsthand the devastation caused by preventable crashes.
The Sober Holiday Rides program is part of the firm's broader commitment to community safety. It operates during select high-risk holidays throughout the year, aiming to reduce impaired driving incidents across the region. Attorney Sabbeth emphasized that planning ahead is key. Community members are encouraged to save the program link before going out and share it with friends.
Full program details and submission instructions are available at Sabbeth Law's Sober Holiday Rides page.
“Getting home safely should never be an afterthought,” Sabbeth added. The program underscores a proactive approach to injury prevention that goes beyond legal representation. By addressing one of the root causes of serious accidents, Sabbeth Law aims to make a tangible difference in the communities it serves.
For individuals celebrating in Vermont and New Hampshire, the offer provides a simple but effective way to ensure that the holiday ends without tragedy. The firm's initiative highlights the role that businesses and legal professionals can play in promoting public safety, particularly during times of heightened risk.
