Santa Cruz Florist to Showcase Floral Art Alongside Monet's Water Lilies at Legion of Honor

Flower Bar Design Studio, a Santa Cruz-based floral design studio, has been selected to present a custom floral arrangement alongside Claude Monet's renowned 'Water Lilies' at San Francisco's Legion of Honor museum, as part of the deYoung museum's centennial Bouquets to Art exhibition.

Founder Sharon Schneider, with nearly 30 years of experience in floral design, will showcase her interpretation of Monet's masterpiece from June 3rd through June 8th. The exhibition represents a significant opportunity for local artists to translate visual art into botanical compositions, bridging the gap between different artistic mediums.

This invitation highlights the growing recognition of floral design as a sophisticated art form. By drawing inspiration directly from Monet's work, Schneider demonstrates how natural elements can be manipulated to create living, dynamic interpretations of classic artwork.

The presentation comes at a pivotal moment for Flower Bar Design Studio, which recently transitioned from a traditional retail model to a specialized custom design studio. The exhibition provides a platform to showcase their expertise in creating bespoke arrangements for various events, from weddings to corporate gatherings.

The Bouquets to Art exhibition offers art and design enthusiasts a unique perspective on how contemporary artists can engage with and reinterpret classic visual art through botanical arrangements, creating a dynamic dialogue between different artistic expressions.
