SERI Launches 2025 ReThink Awards to Honor Innovations in Electronics Sustainability
The inaugural ReThink Awards by SERI aim to recognize organizations leading transformative changes in electronics sustainability, encouraging a shift towards circular solutions and extended product lifecycles.

The Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI) has announced the opening of nominations for the 2025 ReThink Awards, a new initiative designed to celebrate organizations making significant strides in electronics sustainability. This awards program seeks to highlight those who are not just improving existing processes but are redefining the approach to sustainability in the electronics industry.
Jeff Seibert, SERI’s Chief Provocateur, emphasized the need for radical thinking in achieving a circular ecosystem for electronics. The ReThink Awards are set to honor those who challenge conventional practices, introduce circular solutions, and inspire industry-wide change. Nominations are open to entities across the electronics value chain, including designers, manufacturers, and policy advocates, with no geographical restrictions.
Winners will be announced at the eSummit in Minneapolis this September, offering them a platform to present their innovations to industry leaders. The awards themselves, crafted by artist Steve Heller from recycled electronic components, symbolize the transformation of waste into value, mirroring the awards' mission.
This initiative underscores the growing importance of sustainability in the electronics sector, highlighting the potential for innovative approaches to reduce environmental impact and promote a more sustainable future. The ReThink Awards not only aim to recognize excellence but also to inspire further innovation and collaboration across the industry.
