Shincheonji Church Survey Reveals 57% of Bible Course Graduates Previously Had No Religion
A recent survey of Shincheonji Church's Bible course graduates shows significant appeal to non-religious individuals, with 99% reporting positive life changes including inner peace and spiritual growth.

A recent survey conducted by Shincheonji Church of Jesus reveals that 57% of graduates from its Bible education program previously identified as having no religious affiliation, indicating the organization's appeal extends beyond traditional religious circles. The survey, conducted from October 17-25 among 1,285 students who completed the year-long Zion Christian Mission Center course, showed remarkable results just prior to the November 2nd graduation of 59,192 theology students.
Participants in the survey reported profound personal transformations, with 99% providing positive feedback about their experience in the program. The most common response, cited by 50.7% of graduates, was increased inner peace, stability, and emotional comfort. Nearly half of respondents (46.7%) reported experiencing spiritual growth and a deepening of faith through the course.
One survey participant in their 20s commented, "I had previously tried to learn about God and the Bible through various church teachings in the Christian world, but I didn't see much intellectual growth. However, through the Mission Center, I came to truly understand the Bible." Other graduates noted that the program helped them establish standards for life beyond religion and provided an opportunity to reflect on life and relationships.
The survey results, available through the organization's press release platform, showed additional significant outcomes: 41.2% of graduates developed a positive value system, 38.3% gained forgiveness, love, and a spirit of tolerance, and 25.8% reported improved interpersonal relationships. Practical benefits included better stress management and problem-solving abilities (20.4%) and new perspectives on social life and work (16.5%).
The high satisfaction rates with instructors and program content reached 94.5%, with 73.3% of respondents indicating they were "very satisfied" with their educational experience. The 116th Zion Christian Mission Center graduation ceremony was held at the Cheongju Church in South Korea under the theme "Love, Blessings, and the Light That Shines Upon the World," where Shincheonji Church announced plans to focus on qualitative maturity and restoration of the essence of the Word as positive influences for both individuals and society.
