Shincheonji Tanzania Church Conducts Revelation Bible Exam with Local Pastors and Believers
Shincheonji Church of Jesus held a Revelation Bible exam in Tanzania, revealing significant knowledge gaps between its members and local Protestant pastors while emphasizing scriptural adherence as the path to heaven.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Tanzania Church conducted an open Revelation Bible exam with local Protestant pastors and church members in major Tanzanian cities including Dar es Salaam. The examination, centered on the Book of Revelation, aimed to evaluate whether participants had maintained the words of Revelation as described in Revelation 22:18-19 and to encourage proper standing before God.
The exam consisted of 10 main questions and 33 sub-questions focused entirely on Revelation content. A total of 138 participants took part, including 98 local Protestant pastors and 40 Shincheonji members. Results showed a dramatic disparity in scores, with Shincheonji members averaging 95 points compared to Protestant pastors' average of 7 points.
This event marked the first instance of large-scale pastor participation overseas for Shincheonji's Bible exams. Previously, the church held a similar exam in Korea where only one pastor from established denominations participated among 313 total examinees. The Tanzania event therefore represents significant expansion of the church's international outreach efforts.
Chairman Lee Man-hee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus has consistently emphasized that entering heaven requires complete understanding and adherence to Revelation's words without addition or subtraction. He has stated that the standard for discerning truth and falsehood should be God's Word alone rather than human tradition or doctrine.
One participating pastor reflected that observing Shincheonji members answer confidently prompted self-examination regarding faith and pastoral calling. The pastor expressed intention to study Revelation through the Shincheonji Zion Christian Mission Center and properly guide congregation members toward heavenly entry.
A church representative noted that the Bible exam serves not merely as knowledge assessment but as confirmation of whether one's faith standard aligns with Scripture. The representative expressed gratitude for increasing pastor participation both domestically and internationally and hopes for continued church unity based on biblical foundation.
Since its establishment in 2018, Shincheonji Tanzania Church has grown steadily to approximately 2,440 members as of August 2025. The church maintains active exchanges with local pastors while working to spread Scripture-centered faith through initiatives like the Revelation exam, which emphasizes that true faith requires both belief and practice according to biblical teachings.
