Shincheonji Uganda Church Hosts Public Revelation Exam, Signs Partnership Agreements

The Thomas Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony hosted a public Bible examination focused exclusively on the Book of Revelation at the Global Hotel in Kampala, Uganda. Two hundred participants, comprising 100 Shincheonji Church members and 100 local pastors, completed the two-hour examination consisting of 100 questions covering the prophetic biblical text.

According to Shincheonji Uganda Church officials, the examination was not intended as a competitive event but rather as a means to distinguish orthodox interpretation from heretical teachings based on the words of Revelation. This approach aligns with the teachings of Shincheonji Church Chairman Lee Man-hee, who has frequently emphasized that the Book of Revelation should serve as the standard of Christian faith. Chairman Lee has referenced Revelation 22:18-19 as biblical justification for such examinations, suggesting they help discern true doctrine from false teachings.

Participant feedback revealed varying levels of familiarity with the complex prophetic text. One local pastor who took the examination acknowledged, "I've always considered Revelation to be a compass for faith, but I'm ashamed that I never properly learned it. I'll study again to better understand prophecy and fulfillment." Meanwhile, a Shincheonji Church member observed significant differences in scriptural knowledge, noting that many pastors struggled to answer questions according to scripture while church members demonstrated greater familiarity with the text.

The event yielded immediate organizational benefits for Shincheonji Uganda Church, with seven churches signing memoranda of understanding to collaborate with the organization following the examination. Church representatives also noted that several denominations have recently decided to officially affiliate themselves with Shincheonji Church, indicating growing institutional acceptance within Uganda's Christian community. A church representative emphasized that "knowing the reality of Revelation is the first step to leading believers in truth," expressing hope that more pastors would engage with the Word and participate in collective spiritual growth.

Shincheonji Uganda Church has experienced remarkable growth since its establishment in 2015 with just 27 members. Current membership exceeds 8,400 individuals, representing significant expansion within Uganda's religious landscape. The public examination event and subsequent partnership agreements suggest continued momentum for the organization's theological approach and institutional presence in the region. This development occurs within the broader context of Shincheonji Church's global activities and theological emphasis on the Book of Revelation as central to Christian doctrine and practice.
