Southeast Investor Conference Aims to Cultivate Early-Stage Investment Ecosystem

The Southeast Investor Conference, scheduled for July 29-30 at Georgia Tech, represents a pivotal gathering for early-stage investors, fund managers, and innovation leaders. Co-hosted by Keiretsu Forum South-East, Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), and the Angel Capital Association (ACA), the event is tailored to navigate the shifting landscape of early-stage investing. Barry Etra, President of Keiretsu Forum Atlanta, emphasizes the conference's role in addressing the critical lack of local investors and the pressing challenge of dwindling exits in the investment cycle.

With a focus on education and networking, the conference aims to bring together 75-100 investors for insights into maximizing returns and navigating the current investment climate. Highlights include an Angel Capital Association Workshop, a Shark Tank-style session for local companies, and presentations from companies with full due diligence packages. The event underscores the importance of developing more and better investors to support innovation and entrepreneurship in the Southeast, with the long-term goal of establishing it as an annual gathering.
