Studybay Launches Annual Essay Contest, Offering Students $3,000 to Share Personal Narratives

Online educational platform Studybay has announced its 2025 annual essay contest, inviting students to share compelling personal narratives on contemporary challenges facing their generation. The competition offers a total prize fund of $3,000, with awards ranging from $500 to $1,500 for top submissions.

Open to graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, the contest challenges participants to select from three thought-provoking essay prompts: exploring artificial intelligence's impact on career prospects, examining academic and personal success pressures, and discussing financial survival strategies.

The competition emphasizes authentic student voices, requiring original essays between 500 and 700 words formatted according to MLA guidelines. Submissions must be written in English and will be evaluated on creativity, insight, and genuine personal perspective. The contest strictly prohibits AI-generated content and plagiarism.

First-place winners will receive $1,500, with second and third place earning $1,000 and $500 respectively. The contest represents an opportunity for students to critically reflect on their experiences and share nuanced perspectives on complex contemporary issues.

As part of its global expansion, Studybay is also launching a Portuguese-language version of the contest for Brazilian students, demonstrating a commitment to providing diverse educational platforms across international markets.

The contest submission deadline is June 15, 2025, with finalists potentially required to verify their student status before prize distribution.
