Super Patch Launches Nationwide Skate Contest to Reclaim Skateboarding Culture
Super Patch is hosting a two-city skate competition in Venice Beach and New York City, offering $40,000 in prizes and aiming to restore skateboarding's authentic community spirit. The event represents a grassroots movement challenging corporate dominance in the skating world.

Super Patch, a wellness tech company, is set to revolutionize skateboarding culture with its nationwide SUPER PATCH REVOLUTION SKATE SERIES, a free, community-driven competition spanning Venice Beach and New York City.
The event, backed by $40,000 in total prize money, seeks to reestablish skateboarding's roots by prioritizing community involvement and authentic cultural representation. Featuring top professional skaters like Guy Mariano and Vincent Alvarez, the competition aims to shift focus from corporate interests to the athletes and local skateboarding communities.
With support from local nonprofits, artists, and community organizations, the series goes beyond a traditional competition. Super Patch has committed additional resources by contributing directly to LA Parks & Recreation to improve local skate infrastructure and support youth programs.
The competition will feature an elite judging panel of respected skaters and offer substantial cash prizes: $25,000 for first place, $10,000 for second, and $5,000 for third. By creating an inclusive, accessible event, Super Patch hopes to reinvigorate skateboarding's cultural significance and provide a platform for emerging talent.
Presented by former pro skater and actor Fabian Alomar, with live music by DJ LUIJAY, the events will take place at Venice Beach Skatepark on June 14, 2025, and in New York City on August 9, 2025. The competition represents more than a sporting event—it's a cultural statement about community, creativity, and reclaiming skateboarding's independent spirit.
