TBC Uzbekistan Expands Digital Ecosystem with Launch of Fully Digital Insurance

TBC Uzbekistan has officially launched TBC Insurance, a fully digital insurance service integrated within its banking app, TBC UZ, signaling a strategic expansion into new high-growth segments. This development is pivotal as it not only diversifies TBC Uzbekistan's product offerings but also sets a new standard for digital insurance services in Uzbekistan, starting with credit life insurance and planning to extend to a comprehensive range of personal insurance products.

Since its soft launch in April 2025, following the acquisition of a life insurance license, TBC Insurance has already issued over 140,000 policies, demonstrating strong consumer demand. The service is spearheaded by Ekaterina Lotuashvili, whose extensive experience in the insurance sector spans the UK and Georgia, including a tenure at Lloyd’s of London.

This initiative is part of TBC Uzbekistan's broader strategy to solidify its position as Central Asia's premier digital banking ecosystem. With a user base exceeding 50% of Uzbekistan's population and significant growth in revenue and loan book in Q1 2025, the company has been aggressively expanding its digital services. Recent additions include the Salom debit card, Osmon credit card, and SME banking and lending services, all designed to create synergies and foster deeper customer engagement.

Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Uzbekistan, emphasized the natural fit of insurance within the ecosystem, highlighting its role in empowering customers and enhancing trust. TBC Uzbekistan, part of the London-listed TBC Bank Group, continues to leverage its technological infrastructure and first-mover advantage to meet the growing demand for modern financial services in Uzbekistan.
