T.D. Jakes Foundation Launches Free Virtual Financial Forum to Empower Young Adults
The T.D. Jakes Foundation's Life Forum 2025 addresses the critical financial literacy gap among young adults by providing free, culturally relevant education on budgeting, investing, and wealth-building through expert-led virtual sessions.

The T.D. Jakes Foundation has announced Life Forum 2025, a free virtual financial education experience designed to address the growing financial pressures facing young adults. With 36 states now requiring personal finance courses for graduation, up from just 21 in 2020, many young people still lack the practical knowledge needed to manage debt, build wealth, or plan for their financial futures. The forum, which begins in September and culminates with a main event on October 4, aims to close this educational gap through expert-led sessions covering budgeting, credit, entrepreneurship, investing, and generational wealth.
Presented in partnership with Wells Fargo and Paul Quinn College under the theme "Leveraging Income for Financial Empowerment," Life Forum 2025 aligns with the Foundation's core pillar of Financial Inclusion. The program is specifically tailored to the realities young adults face, including student debt, side hustles, career transitions, and economic uncertainty. Kelley Cornish, President and CEO of the T.D. Jakes Foundation, emphasized that financial literacy extends beyond numbers, stating, "It is about access, confidence, and opportunity. Through Life Forum 2025, we are bringing together some of the most powerful voices in financial education to show young adults that they have the tools and the talent to take control of their futures."
The virtual gathering features influential financial educators who will provide culturally relevant guidance. Participants can register for free access at https://life.vfairs.com/. Sessions include Wallo267 and Chairman T.D. Jakes exploring how culture and mindset shifts can transform financial struggle into opportunity, Milan Griffin of HomeFree-USA sharing real estate strategies for generational wealth, and Tiffany "The Budgetnista" Aliche breaking down intentional budgeting techniques. Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings, founders of Earn Your Leisure and InvestFest, will demonstrate how to turn online platforms into income sources, while Teri Ijeoma of Trade and Travel will offer practical trading strategies for beginners. Egypt Sherrod will teach asset acquisition, protection, and transfer methods.
Tozyea Reed, Vice President of Programming and Outcomes at the Foundation, highlighted the program's broader impact: "LIFE is more than a program. It is a chance to discover how every dollar you earn can become a tool for freedom. When people learn how to leverage their money, they multiply opportunities for themselves and their communities." Unlike one-time events, Life Forum 2025 will serve as a lasting resource, with all sessions available on-demand after October 4 through the Foundation's website at https://tdjfoundation.org/. This ensures continuous access to financial guidance, reinforcing the Foundation's mission to create pathways to economic mobility for underserved communities.
