Teasdale Latin Foods has reached a comprehensive four-year labor agreement with BCTGM Local 1 (Grain Millers Union), finalized on August 29th. The agreement includes an immediate 5% wage increase for employees and a cumulative 17% increase over the contract term, along with 40 additional hours of paid time off annually. This settlement resolves the recent work stoppage and allows the company to resume full production at its Hoopeston, Illinois facility with its entire workforce reunited.

The significance of this agreement extends beyond immediate wage improvements. By securing labor peace for four years, Teasdale ensures operational stability and continuity for its customers, many of whom rely on the company's consistent supply chain. The company acknowledged the temporary workers who maintained operations during the work stoppage, noting that many will remain as permanent team members. This approach demonstrates Teasdale's commitment to maintaining workforce flexibility while honoring its core labor relationships.

Teasdale's network resilience was further highlighted through the support from its sister plant in Atwater, California, whose employees helped maintain operational continuity during the negotiations. This cross-facility collaboration underscores the company's ability to manage disruptions while maintaining service levels. The agreement reinforces Teasdale's commitment to its values of transparency, integrity, and sustainability while supporting community resilience in Hoopeston.
