Texas Advocacy Project's Annual Black & White Ball to Raise Funds for Domestic Violence Survivors
The Texas Advocacy Project's annual Black & White Ball gala on September 20th will raise critical funds to support free legal and social services for survivors of domestic violence and abuse across Texas.

The Texas Advocacy Project (TAP), a leading organization dedicated to eradicating dating and domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, stalking, and human trafficking in Texas, will host its annual Black & White Ball on September 20th at the JW Marriott Austin. Presented by DaBella, the black-tie gala serves as a crucial fundraising event that supports TAP's mission to empower survivors through free legal and social services.
This year's event holds particular significance as it celebrates the organization's 40+ years of unwavering commitment to ending power-based abuse across the state. The Black & White Ball not only raises vital funds for TAP's critical programs but also includes the prestigious presentation of the annual Courage Award, which recognizes a former TAP client who exemplifies the remarkable courage displayed by survivors on a daily basis.
One of TAP's long-standing partners in this cause is Cowboy Auctioneer, who has been part of the Black & White Ball success for nearly a decade. Heath Hale, Founder & President, emphasized their commitment, stating that their team is motivated by a passion for making an impact and achieving record-breaking results that TAP needs to continue providing critical services for courageous survivors.
The dedication of TAP's staff, board members, volunteers, and generous donors has been instrumental in the success and growth of the Black & White Ball over the years. Together, they have raised awareness, instigated change, and provided critical support to survivors in need. The event represents a critical funding source for TAP's operations, enabling the continuation of free legal services that help survivors obtain protective orders, navigate family law matters, and secure their safety and independence. The funds raised directly impact the organization's ability to respond to the growing need for domestic violence support services across Texas communities.
