TOMY International and Paramount Launch Crowd-Funded Star Trek Klingon D7 Battle Cruiser

TOMY International, in collaboration with Paramount, has announced the launch of a crowd-funded Star Trek Klingon D7 Battle Cruiser, a detailed replica from The Original Series. This project marks the third partnership between the two entities and introduces the first enemy ship in the Star Trek fleet to be offered by TOMY. The 1:350 scale premium die-cast model is available for pre-order from August 6 to September 5, 2025, targeting avid Star Trek fans and collectors.

The Klingon D7 Battle Cruiser comes in two color options: the Original Concept Design and the Original TV Series Screen Model, both reflecting genuine pieces of Star Trek history. The project has been developed with the assistance of Star Trek experts to ensure accuracy, including Gary Kerr, Karl Tate, Glen Swanson, and Matthew Cushman. The replica features three light modes, remote control functionality, and includes two Klingon Shuttlecraft, among other detailed elements.

Morgan Weyl, Managing Director of Licensing and Global Development at TOMY International, expressed excitement about offering something new to Star Trek fans. The crowd-funded campaign will be launched at the Las Vegas fan convention in early August, with production beginning in the fall after a combined goal of 3,000 pieces is met. The model is priced at $699 USD and is scheduled for delivery from Winter 2026.

This initiative not only caters to the nostalgia of Star Trek enthusiasts but also highlights the growing trend of crowd-funded collectibles in the entertainment industry. For more information, fans can visit startrek-signup.tomy.com/d7.
