Tonix Pharmaceuticals Expands TONMYA Coverage to 52 Million Commercial Lives
Tonix Pharmaceuticals announced a coverage agreement with a second major group purchasing organization, expanding access to its fibromyalgia treatment, TONMYA, to approximately 52 million U.S. commercial lives, representing about 29% of commercially insured individuals.

Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: TNXP) announced a coverage agreement with a second major group purchasing organization, effective June 1, 2026, expanding access to TONMYA® for an additional 17 million U.S. commercial lives. This agreement increases total commercial coverage for the company’s fibromyalgia treatment to approximately 52 million lives, representing about 29% of the estimated 177 million commercially insured individuals in the United States.
The expanded coverage builds on an earlier agreement announced in May that provided access to approximately 35 million commercial lives. TONMYA is also now available through Medicaid programs covering approximately 75 million lives, while discussions with Medicare continue. TONMYA is a non-opioid analgesic designed for daily bedtime administration and long-term use, making it a significant option for the millions of Americans suffering from fibromyalgia.
Fibromyalgia affects an estimated 4 million adults in the U.S., and TONMYA is the first new treatment approved for the condition in more than 15 years. The expansion of coverage to 52 million commercial lives means that a substantial portion of patients with private insurance now have access to this therapy. For a condition that has seen limited innovation, this could represent a meaningful shift in treatment options.
The agreement highlights Tonix’s strategy to build a broad commercial footprint for its flagship medicine. The company is a fully-integrated, commercial-stage biotechnology company focused on central nervous system (CNS) and immunology treatments in areas of high unmet medical need. Its CNS commercial infrastructure also supports its acute migraine products, Zembrace® SymTouch® and Tosymra®.
Beyond fibromyalgia, Tonix is maximizing the science behind TONMYA in Phase 2 clinical trials to evaluate its potential in major depressive disorder and acute stress disorder. The company’s CNS portfolio also includes TNX-2900, which is Phase 2 ready for the treatment of Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare disease. Additionally, Tonix is advancing a pipeline of immunology programs, including monoclonal antibody TNX-4800 for Lyme disease prophylaxis and TNX-1500, a third-generation CD40 ligand inhibitor for the prevention of kidney transplant rejection.
The expansion of TONMYA coverage is part of a broader effort to increase patient access to non-opioid pain management options. With the opioid crisis continuing to affect communities nationwide, the availability of effective non-addictive treatments like TONMYA is increasingly important. The company’s ongoing discussions with Medicare suggest further coverage expansion could be on the horizon, potentially extending access to older adults who are disproportionately affected by chronic pain conditions.
For investors, the coverage expansion signals growing commercial traction for TONMYA, which could drive revenue growth for Tonix. The company’s multi-pronged approach, covering both commercial and government insurance programs, positions it to capture a significant share of the fibromyalgia market.
