Trains at NorthPark Holiday Exhibit Adds New Features to Boost Fundraising for Ronald McDonald House

The Trains at NorthPark, the signature fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, returns for its 38th year with several new features designed to enhance visitor engagement and increase charitable support. Located on level one of NorthPark Center, this holiday tradition helps families from across Texas, the United States, and internationally who travel to Dallas for critical medical care for their children.

This year's event introduces Art on the Rails, an innovative auction component where enthusiasts can bid on a hand-painted four-car train set created by renowned reflectionist artist JD Miller. Miller expressed honor in contributing to the event, noting its meaningful impact on families served by Ronald McDonald House throughout DFW and beyond.

Another significant addition is Choo-Choo Tales, an inaugural theatrical story-time experience featuring weekly live performances in NorthCourt. This interactive element is produced in collaboration with Dallas Children's Theater and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, featuring a short play written by recent graduate Esau Price and directed by DCT Artistic Director Emily Ernst.

The exhibit continues its commitment to accessibility with Sensory Hours presented by Children's Health, occurring Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. and Sundays from 12-2 p.m., creating a welcoming environment for guests with sensory sensitivities. Presented by Bank of Texas for the 17th consecutive year, the 2025 season aims to raise more than $1.1 million to provide free housing for families with sick children.

Jill Cumnock, CEO of Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, emphasized the importance of community support in making the event more interactive and accessible. The Trains at NorthPark will run from November 15, 2025, through January 4, 2026, maintaining its role as a vital fundraising initiative that combines holiday magic with critical family support services.
