Uranium Energy Corp. Begins Production at Burke Hollow, Boosts U.S. Uranium Operations

Uranium Energy Corp. (NYSE American: UEC) has started production at its Burke Hollow in-situ recovery (ISR) project in South Texas, marking the largest greenfield ISR uranium project to enter production in the United States in more than a decade. The company reported fiscal third-quarter 2026 results, highlighting a debt-free balance sheet with $794 million in liquid assets, while advancing production growth at its Christensen Ranch operation and development activities at the Ludeman and Sweetwater projects.

The commencement of Burke Hollow is a significant milestone for U.S. uranium production, as it strengthens domestic supply amid growing federal support for nuclear energy. Uranium Energy is building what it describes as America's only vertically integrated uranium fuel supply chain, including progress at its planned uranium conversion facility through United States Uranium Refining & Conversion Corp. The company also noted federal backing through the Department of Energy's “Nuclear Dominance – 3 by 33” initiative, which aims to boost domestic nuclear fuel development.

Uranium Energy continues to advance its Roughrider uranium project in Saskatchewan, Canada, and its Alto Paraná titanium and vanadium project in Paraguay. The company controls the largest uranium resource base and the most licensed production capacity in the United States, totaling approximately 12 million pounds per year across its Wyoming and South Texas platforms. In Canada, it holds one of the most extensive land and resource portfolios in the Athabasca Basin, anchored by the Roughrider Project.

UEC maintains a 100% unhedged uranium strategy, providing full exposure to uranium market fundamentals. The company is managed by professionals with decades of experience across uranium exploration, development, production, and fuel cycle infrastructure. This strategic positioning comes at a time when nuclear energy is gaining traction as a reliable, low-carbon power source, and the U.S. seeks to reduce reliance on foreign uranium supplies.

The Burke Hollow project's production startup is a key step in revitalizing the U.S. uranium industry, which has faced challenges from low prices and import dependence. With a strong balance sheet and ongoing projects, Uranium Energy Corp. is poised to play a central role in the nation's nuclear fuel supply chain, potentially impacting energy security and the clean energy transition.
