URZ3 Energy Launches Exploration Program at Wyoming's Dry Fork Uranium Project

URZ3 Energy Corp. has commenced an exploration program at its Dry Fork Uranium Project located in Wyoming's Powder River Basin, one of the most significant uranium-producing regions in the United States. The project is strategically positioned just 10 kilometers from the established Nichols Ranch Uranium Project, positioning the company to benefit from existing infrastructure and geological knowledge in the area.

The exploration initiative is specifically designed to evaluate the property's potential for in-situ recovery uranium extraction, a method that involves dissolving uranium from underground deposits and pumping it to the surface. The first phase of the program will concentrate on areas surrounding known water springs, where sampling will test for anomalous uranium concentrations. A subsequent phase will expand the search using hand-held spectrometers to identify additional springs and surface seeps that may indicate concentrated uranium zones at the surface.

Mark Kolebaba, President and CEO of URZ3 Energy Corp., emphasized the strategic importance of the Dry Fork program, stating that focusing on hydrogeological indicators represents a cost-effective and scientific approach to prioritizing drill targets for ISR uranium potential. The company views Wyoming and the southwestern United States as regions with renewed momentum and growth opportunities, driven by U.S. governmental incentives and streamlined pathways for uranium exploration and production.

The timing of this exploration initiative aligns with broader federal efforts to strengthen domestic uranium production. In a September 15th interview with Bloomberg, U.S. Secretary of Energy Christopher Wright highlighted the urgent need to bolster the U.S. strategic uranium reserve to reduce foreign supply dependence and support nuclear energy expansion. The Strategic Uranium Reserve program, established in 2020, has already resulted in government purchases of one million pounds of U₃O₈ at prices exceeding market levels, demonstrating federal commitment to domestic supply security.

More recently, on August 22, 2025, the Department of Energy announced the creation of a Defense Production Act Consortium aimed at expanding domestic fuel availability, enhancing power reliability, and accelerating America's path toward nuclear energy independence. These policy developments create a favorable environment for uranium exploration companies like URZ3 Energy as the United States seeks to secure its energy future and reduce reliance on imported nuclear fuel.

The exploration program at Dry Fork represents URZ3 Energy's first uranium property development in Wyoming and is expected to be part of a broader portfolio of properties in the region. The company's approach of systematically surveying groundwater and surface indicators before committing to drilling reflects industry best practices for cost-effective resource identification in uranium exploration.
