Viromed Medical AG Partners with NEBU-TEC to Distribute PulmoPlas for Veterinary Use, Targeting Equine Respiratory Diseases
Viromed Medical AG has signed an exclusive global distribution partnership with NEBU-TEC to combine its cold plasma technology with nebulization for veterinary applications, initially focusing on respiratory diseases in horses, with a market launch planned for later in 2026.
Viromed Medical AG ("Viromed"; ISIN: DE000A40ZVN7), a pioneer in cold plasma technology, announced on May 18, 2026, an exclusive global distribution partnership with NEBU-TEC International med. Produkte Eike Kern GmbH ("NEBU-TEC"). The collaboration combines Viromed's PulmoPlas® platform with NEBU-TEC's nebulization technology for veterinary applications, with an initial focus on pulmonary diseases in horses. This move targets a market with significant potential in the European equine sector, where respiratory conditions affect a large proportion of horses and there is high demand for effective solutions.
The partnership grants NEBU-TEC worldwide exclusive distribution rights for veterinary uses of PulmoPlas®. NEBU-TEC, a globally active medical technology company with 30 years of experience in aerosol medicine, develops and distributes state-of-the-art inhalation devices. Its devices are Class IIa medical devices under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR), which also paves the way for future human applications combined with PulmoPlas® med. No approval is required for the veterinary market launch, scheduled for later in 2026.
