WalletHub Study Reveals 2025’s Most & Least Stressed Cities in America

A new study by WalletHub has identified the most and least stressed cities in America for 2025, shedding light on how various factors contribute to stress levels across the nation. The study compared over 180 cities using 39 metrics, including average weekly work hours, unemployment rates, and divorce and suicide rates.

Detroit, Michigan, tops the list as the most stressed city, followed by Cleveland, Ohio, and Baltimore, Maryland. On the other end of the spectrum, Fremont, California, and South Burlington, Vermont, are among the least stressed cities. The study also highlights significant disparities, such as Rapid City, South Dakota, having an unemployment rate 6.3 times lower than Detroit's, and Columbia, Maryland, boasting a median annual household income 3.4 times higher than Detroit's when adjusted for cost of living.

These findings are crucial as they not only reflect the current state of American cities but also underscore the importance of addressing stress-related factors to improve quality of life. For more details, read the full article here.
