Walmart to Host Hiring Event for Over 150 Technician Roles in Metro Atlanta

Walmart is set to host a hiring event in Sandy Springs, Ga., aiming to fill over 150 technician positions across the Southeast. The event, scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will focus on recruiting for exterior services, general maintenance workers, and commercial rack refrigeration technicians. Compensation for these roles ranges from $19 to $34 per hour, based on experience and specialty.

In addition to external hiring, Walmart is expanding its Associate to Technician (A2T) program, with the goal of training and upskilling 4,000 current associates into technician roles by 2030. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and provide valid, state-issued photo identification. They are encouraged to bring any relevant certifications and a resume to the event.
