Wanta Thome Employment Lawyers has launched Project Backpack, a community initiative providing 500 free backpacks filled with essential school supplies to K-12 students in St. Paul on August 22, 2025. The event aims to reduce the financial strain families face during back-to-school preparations, with backpacks containing grade-appropriate items like notebooks, folders, pencils, and crayons.

Held at the West Minnehaha Rec Center from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., the distribution coincides with a food distribution event by Feeding Frogtown, offering families additional support through fresh produce and groceries.
