Wytec Secures Major Government Contract for AI-Powered Gunshot Detection System

Texas-based telecommunications company Wytec International (OTCQB:WYTC) has secured a Master Services Agreement (MSA) to deploy its AI-powered gunshot detection technology across more than 170 US cities and 50 counties. The contract, awarded through the TXShare Cooperative Purchasing Program, will make the technology available to various public entities including police departments, school districts, and hospitals.

The system's significance lies in its exceptional accuracy rates, with testing showing 94% true positive and 95% true negative results after more than 750,000 lab tests. This level of precision positions Wytec's solution among the most accurate gunshot detection systems globally, potentially offering crucial improvements in emergency response times and public safety.

To deliver this solution, Wytec has partnered with Trabus Technologies, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business specializing in AI and machine learning, and Lemko Corporation, which provides Private LTE systems using CBRS spectrum. The collaboration combines advanced threat detection capabilities with secure wireless infrastructure.

The implementation of this technology could significantly impact public safety measures across multiple jurisdictions. By providing rapid and accurate gunshot detection, the system could enable faster emergency response times and better resource allocation for law enforcement agencies. For schools, hospitals, and other public institutions, this technology represents a potential enhancement to existing security measures.

Wytec's expansion into the public safety sector with AI-driven technology reflects a growing trend toward smart city solutions and automated security systems. The multi-state contract signals increasing government investment in advanced security technologies, potentially setting a precedent for future public safety infrastructure developments.
