Zonte Metals Discovers Copper-Silver Mineralization at Cross Hills Project, Advances Nine Drill Targets

Zonte Metals Inc. has announced significant exploration progress at its Cross Hills Copper Project in Newfoundland and Labrador, including the discovery of copper and silver mineralization at the N Dunns target and the advancement of nine large-scale Iron Oxide Copper-Gold targets toward drill testing. The company has systematically advanced the project over seven years, transforming it from early-stage exploration into a district-scale IOCG system with substantial potential.

The Cross Hills Copper Project now features nine drill-ready IOCG targets identified through extensive geophysical surveys, particularly high-resolution gravity data that revealed strong, deep-seated anomalies. These anomalies display impressive dimensions of up to 3,300 metres in length, 600 metres wide, and 1,000 metres in depth, with many remaining open along strike and at depth. The targets exhibit gravity anomalies ranging from 1 to 5 mGals, with volumes suggestive of significant tonnage potential.

The recent discovery at the N Dunns target represents a key development for the project. This large geophysical anomaly, discovered through ground gravity survey work, measures up to 3,300 metres in length, 400-600 metres wide, and up to 1,000 metres in thickness, sitting approximately 100 metres below surface. Recent fieldwork above the anomaly uncovered IOCG-style mineralization at surface, with copper-silver mineralization observed in narrow veins measuring 2-15 centimetres wide and traceable for up to 150 metres before disappearing under cover.

A grab sample from one of these veins returned assay results of 0.5% copper, 14.3 grams per tonne silver, trace gold with greater than 10% iron. The company notes that grab samples are selective by nature and the results may not be representative of the mineralization in the target area. With the new surface copper mineralization spatially above the target anomaly, N Dunns will now be advanced to the drill stage, with remaining exploration including infill and extensions to both the soil and gravity grids.

Terry Christopher, CEO of Zonte Metals, stated that with $5 million invested and years of exploration, the company has delineated a large-scale, copper-fertile hydrothermal system at Cross Hills. The discovery of copper and silver mineralization at N Dunns represents key validation of the project's IOCG potential and confirms nine drill targets. The project's progress positions Cross Hills as a compelling advanced exploration-stage project with scale and geological setting attractive to mining companies, drawing comparisons to globally recognized IOCG systems such as Olympic Dam and Prominent Hill in Australia. The company has invested approximately $5 million to date in systematic exploration, including geophysics, geochemistry, and geological mapping, creating a foundation for the upcoming drill testing phase that aims to unlock the value of this underexplored district.
