Angkor Resources Begins Drilling at Gossan Hills and Wild Boar Prospects in Cambodia

Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK) has announced the start of diamond drilling at its Andong Meas mineral exploration license in Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia. The program will initially test copper targets at the Gossan Hills prospect, identified through a recent Induced Polarization (IP) survey, followed by additional holes at the Wild Boar gold prospect. This dual-target approach leverages the dry-season window to maximize efficiency.

The Andong Meas license hosts several advanced targets along a mineralized trend, including the Canada Wall porphyry copper target, Gossan Hills copper-iron skarn, CZ Gold prospect, and Wild Boar gold prospect. The current campaign includes a minimum of 1,100 metres of diamond drilling at Gossan Hills and Canada Wall, with further follow-up at Wild Boar. Three holes are planned at Gossan Hills, ranging from 200 to 500 metres in depth, and approximately two holes at Wild Boar. Operations are running 24 hours a day to expedite progress.

The Gossan Hills drilling directly follows a 20 line-kilometre IP survey completed in May 2026, which revealed several chargeability anomalies aligning with earlier ground magnetic features and copper-in-soil geochemistry. Two priority areas will be tested: a northern target where the IP signature intersects the southern edge of the Canada Wall copper target, potentially linking the Gossan Hills zone to the larger porphyry system, and a Line 6 target where IP anomalies, surface magnetite, and zinc-lead soil data converge. Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration, noted: "These are the holes we have been working toward for several years. The IP signature, magnetics, and soil geochemistry all point to the same trend, and the Gossan Hills skarn sits right where the model would predict relative to the Canada Wall porphyry."

At Wild Boar, located about 3 kilometres east of the CZ Gold prospect, follow-up holes will test a 1.5 by 1.2 kilometre gold-in-soil and quartz-float anomaly. Previous sampling returned values up to 25.6 grams per tonne gold (see ASSAY RETURNS 25.6 GPT GOLD IN WILD BOAR VEINS). The new holes aim to assess the strength and orientation of gold-bearing structures at depth.

Core samples will be transported to Angkor's Banlung facility for logging and sampling, with selected intervals sent to ALS for assay. The company is advancing the program rapidly, capitalizing on the dry season to complete the work efficiently.

This drilling campaign is significant as it targets both copper and gold prospects on the same license, potentially expanding the resource base in a region with established mineral potential. Success could validate the geological model linking skarn and porphyry systems, attracting further investment in Cambodia's mining sector.
