Dr. Bahman Guyuron Honored with AAPS Honorary Award for Pioneering Contributions to Plastic Surgery

Dr. Bahman Guyuron, an internationally recognized plastic surgeon based in Cleveland, Ohio, has been awarded the Honorary Award by the American Association of Plastic Surgeons (AAPS) in 2024, followed by the Clinician of the Year distinction in 2025. These honors represent the highest accolades from the AAPS, the oldest and most respected organization in plastic surgery, founded in 1921. The recognition is reserved for individuals whose work has significantly advanced the science, research, and humanitarian aspects of medicine, highlighting Dr. Guyuron's lasting impact on patient care and surgical education worldwide.
Dr. Guyuron's career spans over four decades, during which he has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed publications, six textbooks, and delivered over 1,200 lectures in more than 30 countries. His pioneering work includes innovative techniques in facial plastic surgery and the globally recognized surgical treatment for migraine headaches, which has provided meaningful relief to thousands of patients. The AAPS awards reflect his contributions to medicine and his role as a "teacher's teacher" in the field.
