Golden Cariboo Encounters Visible Gold During Premature Drill Hole Termination in British Columbia

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has reported significant geological findings from its ongoing drilling operations at the Halo zone, located near Hixon, British Columbia. The drill hole QGQ24-21, which was prematurely terminated at a depth of 310.18 meters, successfully intersected a continuous 53-meter section of mineralized greenstones containing multiple visible gold occurrences.

The drilling operation, which began in December 2024 and resumed in April 2025, encountered a mineralized zone characterized by intense quartz-carbonate vein stockworks. Despite being halted due to drill hole instability, the core samples revealed the deepest visible gold occurrence just 1.8 meters from the hole's endpoint.

Geologically, the drill hole penetrated 257 meters of hanging wall rocks before entering the mineralized zone, marked by strong sericite and iron carbonate alterations. The company plans to continue exploration by drilling an adjacent hole to intersect the zone at an up-dip and northern location.

The discovery is particularly noteworthy for the potential gold resources in the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property, which has a rich historical context of placer gold mining dating back to the 1860s. The region's geological characteristics suggest promising prospects for further mineral exploration.

Geological experts will now analyze the drill core samples, with assay results expected in the coming days from ALS Canada Ltd. These results could provide critical insights into the extent and quality of gold mineralization in the area.
