Tonix Pharmaceuticals Presents Data on High Economic Burden of Fibromyalgia at ISPOR 2026

Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: TNXP) presented real-world claims analysis data at ISPOR 2026 that underscores the significant clinical and economic burden of fibromyalgia in U.S. adults. The findings reveal high rates of comorbidities, extensive healthcare resource utilization, and widespread reliance on multimodal treatment approaches, reinforcing the need for more effective long-term therapies.

The retrospective analysis of more than 261,000 adult fibromyalgia patients found that over 93% had at least one fibromyalgia-related comorbidity. Insured patients incurred substantial annual healthcare costs, driven primarily by inpatient services. These data highlight the unmet need that Tonix aims to address with its recently approved flagship medicine, TONMYA™ (cyclobenzaprine HCl sublingual tablets 2.8mg), the first new treatment for fibromyalgia in more than 15 years.

“The real-world burden of fibromyalgia is profound, with patients facing high rates of comorbidities and significant healthcare costs,” said a company representative. “These findings underscore the importance of advancing new treatment options like TONMYA to improve patient outcomes and reduce the economic strain on the healthcare system.”

Tonix Pharmaceuticals is a fully-integrated, commercial-stage biotechnology company focused on central nervous system (CNS) and immunology treatments in areas of high unmet medical need. The company’s CNS commercial infrastructure supports its marketed products, including its acute migraine products, Zembrace® SymTouch® and Tosymra®. Tonix is also maximizing the science behind TONMYA in Phase 2 clinical trials to evaluate its potential in major depressive disorder and acute stress disorder.

Beyond fibromyalgia, Tonix is advancing a pipeline of CNS and immunology programs. TNX-2900 is Phase 2 ready for the treatment of Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare disease. In immunology, the company is developing monoclonal antibody TNX-4800 for Lyme disease prophylaxis and TNX-1500, a third-generation CD40 ligand inhibitor for the prevention of kidney transplant rejection.
